Sorry for not posting anything last week, but not much had changed. The perch are picking up around 26-29 feet on the mud/gravel transition line. We have seen some very nice perch coming in, but it is not very consistent. One day we will do quite well and the next day, you struggle to get a nice one. There are lots of little ones to sort through also. We also have seen some nice walleyes in the same areas but they are passing thru, not staying there all day.

We opened a new road off Perch Parkway out to where all of the portables were fishing the last couple of weeks so even if you do not have a snowmobile, you can get in on the fun.

They are forcasting about 5 days of warm weather starting Friday so we may finally get a more consistent bite. We have not had 5 warm days in a row all year.

As in past years, we pull all houses off at the end of walleye fishing, so they will be off on Feb. 22 at the latest. If you will not be up that weekend, we will pull your house whenever you are done with it for the year. If you wish to avoid the last day rush, many people pull off on Saturday before the last day.

I am planning our summer fishhouse spots so if you would like to be on the lakeside this summer, please talk to me as early as possible. Also, if you were on the lakeside last year and do not want to be there this year, please let me know as soon as possible. Try not to wait till the last weekend in either case. It will help me plan the location of all the houses.

There are 3 weekend left counting this one so enjoy the fishing while you can. It is a long spring until soft water.
